Hunting info

A well-equipped hunting vehicle is at your disposal, but the hunt itself will be conducted on foot. The use of blinds is an option to (break)-up the long walks through the bush. Stalking through the bush is exciting and you will find it to be an experience of a lifetime, whether you ultimately shoot or spook whatever you are stalking. We will guide you professionally to ensure your success in hunting with us.

We would appreciate it if you would bring your own hunting rifle. It is very easy to import a rifle into Namibia. However, we offer a number of rifles in good conditions for hire as well:
  • 416 Remington mag Model 700
  • 404 Jeffery Mauser magnum
  • 375 H&H Winchester Model 70
  • 340 Weatherby magnum
  • 9.3 62 SteyerManlicher
  • 338 Win Mag in Mauser
  • 338 Win mag Remington Model 70300 Weatherby Magnum
Hunting conditions vary from short, thick bush, requiring close shooting distances, to wide-open plains, allowing long-distance shooting. As our animals are a bit bullet resistant we ask that you use only premium bullets on your hunt. On the stalk, you will be hunting mostly from shooting sticks; we are more than happy if you want to use your own .

A good pair of (broken)-in hunting boots are a must as blisters are not fun to have whilst you are hunting. A wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent, will be very helpful. You may wear camouflage clothing, but ensure it is darker in color. If you visit us in wintertime, we suggest that you bring gloves and a heavy jacket as it can get bitterly cold in the early mornings and evenings.

The trophy you hunt will be attended to by our professional skinners. The salting and packing of hides and shoulder mounts as well as the cleaning of skulls and horns are supervised by the guide. Our daily fee includes transportation of trophies to a local taxidermist or a shipping agent.
